Supporting Bowel Cancer UK
At the start of 2018 I decided to take up a new hobby which was running – thought I would only last a few weeks doing it but 4 months down the line I am absolutely loving it.
My reasons for supporting and raising money for Bowel Cancer UK is because a close relative of mine has been diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer. Despite numerous trips to the doctors, hospital appointments and scans, her tumor went undetected they believe for at least 10 years. Had they caught it early enough, she may have had a better survival rate than what she has to face now, which is 30%.
So, I am getting my running shoes on and running the Cardiff Half Marathon which is 13.1 miles……which is really far!
I can’t promise I will make it to the finish line in a record breaking time or even look half decent doing it, but I will try my hardest to make everyone proud.
Every little helps, and your support would mean so much to both the charity and myself, you can find a link to my Just Giving page below.
